Features/Benefits

  • Provide your C3 Corvette with electric power with a new C3 Corvette 1968-1969 and 1981 140 Amp Alternator.
  • Not only does this Corvette alternator provide electric power, but it will also allow battery charging in your Corvette.
  • Keep in mind that this alternator only works with 1968 and 1969 C3 Corvettes with 427 cubic inch engines and 1981 C3 Corvettes with 350 cubic inch engines.
  • Customize your Corvette alternator with one of three different color options. The available color options are black, chrome, and polished.
  • Installation could not be simpler as the Corvette alternator is a direct fit with its 4.85-inch case depth and 2-inch lower mount boss.
  • The Difference Between Chrome & Polished Aluminum Finishes:
  • Chrome - It is a finish created by electroplating a thin layer of chromium over the surface of the part. It can be used to plate steel, aluminum, zinc alloy or ABS plastic. The chrome plating gives your part a futuristic appeal with a reflective surface while also protecting the core from fading and corrosion.
  • Polished Aluminum - To achieve a polished finish, the part must go thru a process of using a series of abrasive compounds to gradually smooth the aluminum's surface. The result is very comparable to that of chrome but with slightly less luster though the untrained eye would think it was chrome. The advantage of aluminum over chrome-plated is it is lighter in weight and it has a natural resistance to corrosion.
