“It fit my 1982 Corvette C3 Collectors Edition perfectly. I used 3M adhesive remover to get the old adhesive off. (the one in a spray can) you can find it on Amazon. I used 3M black weatherstrip adhesive to glue the new seal down (Amazon as well). I recommend glueing the left and right corners down first, this will set the rest of the seal in the correct place. Let it dry, then you can start doing the rest of the seal. For the bottom part (towards the rear of the car) you’re gonna have to stretch it a little bit. That’s why it’s important to let the corners dry first, so you don’t pull them off. I recommend glueing the bottom section in pieces, using ductape to help hold it in place. I would attach pictures, but it won’t let me on this review. After the glue was all dried, I rubbed silicone lube on the seal and it’s all good.
Side note : if you’re having trouble getting this hatch to seal, it’s probably because your hatch hinges are warped. There’s a lot of different ways you can deal with this… you can buy new ones, available as of 2025 from custom image corvette. They are the only place that sells them. Once you replace your warped hinges, after a little
(Or a lot) of shimming and aligning, you should be good to go.”
