Features/Benefits
- Replace your worn out or failing exhaust motor with this QTP exhaust cutout replacement motor kit. When the valve has been removed is when it'll be easy to install the motor.
- Includes:
- Motor.
- Motor cover.
- Motor plate.
- Coupler.
- Screws.
- Tools you'll need:
- 5/32" Allen wrench.
- 7/64" Allen wrench.
- 2.5mm Allen wrench.
- Penetrating oil.
- Loctite (red).
- Instructions:
- Remove valves.
- Uplug the twist-lock power connector & remove three bolts holding the valve to exhaust flange.
- Remove 2 cap screws holding the motor to the valve body & remove the coupler set screw from motor side. Penetrating oil may be needed.
- Clean the plate/cutout body with solvent and a parts brush so you can remove carbon build-up.
- Don't remove butterfly screws because they're tack welded and will break if you try.
- Install new coupler after wiping body free of debris. Apply a small amount of red Loctite to bolt threads to protect against vibrations.
- Make sure flat side of motor shaft is facing screw hole in the coupler, then apply red Loctite to the threads, and tighten the screws.
- Finally, with your thumb pressing against the bottom of the butterfly, tighten the screw inside the coupler and secure it with Loctite.
