- This Lingenfelter TRG-002 58x-24x Crank Sensor Trigger Conversion Module allows Gen IV GM V8 engines with the 58x crankshaft trigger or reluctor wheel and the 4x camshaft timing gear to be installed in earlier vehicles designed to accept the 24x crankshaft trigger wheel and the 1x camshaft trigger wheel without needing to take the engine apart to change the crankshaft reluctor wheel or the cam timing gear.
- This module has fully encapsulated construction to give it durability. It has a high temperature glass filled Nylon low profile case. Over voltage protection and transient voltage have been incorporated in the design to accommodate the increasing electrical demands of modern vehicles. It's a plug-and-play design that has its own power source and connects directly to existing wiring harness and to the factory engine sensors.
- A bi-color LED is incorporated to indicate the operating status of the module. When it's first turned on, the LED will be red to indicate the crankshaft signal is present and that the processor is booted up and ready. When a valid signal from crankshaft and camshaft is present, the LED will turn to greed to indicate the signals are valid and the 24x crankshaft and cam sync outputs are active.
- Notes: This module is only designed for a newer engine with a 58x crankshaft trigger wheel and 4x camshaft trigger wheel going into an older 24x vehicle. It will not convert the 24x crankshaft trigger signal to a 58x crankshaft trigger signal and no module exists to do this. You must physically change the reluctors in the engine. .
- This module does not work with front wheel drive LS applications. If you have a 1997-2004 Corvette, it'll allow 2006-2009 Corvette LS7 engine or a 2008-2009 Corvette LS3 engine to be placed in it.
